Once customers upgrade their OS from Win Vista to Win 7, their system restore will not work due to PBR corruption.
Refer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975321/
As a workaround we could try the following steps:
For 32-bit installs:
Hit F8 on startup, select ‘Repair’
Same steps could be performed by WinRE by booting to OS media. If booting to the OS media doesn’t fix this issue, in addition to above commands you could also try ‘bootrec /RebuildBCD’ command.
NOTE: Above steps have had some results in 32-Bit OS. Not quite sure if this would work on 64.Bit OS.

An insight on iPhone
The new iPhone is indeed not just a phone,”it is more than a phone”. As promised by Steve Jobbs, CEO of Apple, the iPhone provides you with:
>A phone
>An iPod
>An internet device
THE GOOD
The first noticeable point on the iPhone is an overall plastic finish. The reason could be because plastic does not interfere with radio reception as metal does. Our iPhone contains somewhere around 10 radio devices inside including EGDE, 3G , Wi-Fi etc.
The latest version of the IPhone is the new 3GS. Lets break down the term 3GS:
3G : 3rd Generation
S: Superfast
So, all it means that the internet speed on a 3GS iPhone is much snappier and improved from the old EDGE network used in old 3G phones. The 3G network delivers web pages twice as faster as the EDGE network. Besides the 3Mega pixel out of focus camera integrates with GPS tracking service and Google Maps to Geotrack your picture and the built in Compass application is your best friend in the middle of an ocean or amidst the woods.
THE BAD
However, if you are the owner of an older iPhone, like the iPhone 2G and 3G models, then by now you must know that your phone has the following limitations:
>absence of a voice dialer
>no video recording feature
>no expandable memory
>no flash and java plugin support for the web browser Safari
Now friends, all these issues are addressed by the new iPhone 3GS. The device has been made faster over the older version with 32 GB of hard drive space, whooping 600 MHz processor and 256 MB of memory(Source: apple.com). To be fair, the additional features do offer improved gaming performance and 3D rendering specially for gamers. The video technology can now capture videos in real time that you can edit, share with friends and even post it on YouTube.
The battery life of the iPhone 3GS gives you 12 hours of talk time over the GSM network and 5 hours of talk time over the 3G network which is pretty cool. It also offers you 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours of Video and 30 hours of Audio playback (stats cross checked from apple.com and tested on my new 3GS iPhone).
So, all set to go for the new 3GS … Wait, here comes the bitter side of the story.
THE UGLY
I noticed this on the 4th day of my purchase of the iPhone. It was strange, the phone was heating up. Initially i ignored but later I was curious and googled it to find that i was not wrong. People have reported the thermal issue on the iPhones. As confirmed by Apple, IF the interior temperature of iPhone device exceeds the exterior, then it will stop charging, the display will dim, cellular signals become weak, and/or a temperature warning screen appears. I also found that, in certain cases (First reported by French website Nowhereelse.fr), the phone is reported to get discolored due to the heating woes.
Apple advises users to use the phone in a place where the temperature is between -20 degree Celsius and 45 degree Celsius. Apple still has no update as how to bypass this issue in countries like India where the temperature is mostly remains above 40 degree Celsius.
The iPhone 3GS was released in the United States on June 19th, 2009 and will soon be rolled out to 80 different countries world-wide. The only challenge could be the absence of super fast 3G networks in most of the countries, unlike United States where At&T is the only official 3G network provider for iPhones. Sadly, in India you can only get a 2G compatible iPhone as at the time of this review there is no 3G network operating in India. I see this as a downside since the USP of an iPhone is using the super fast 3G network. Overall the new Apple iPhone is indeed a decent gizmo to put your hands on.

Well , i tried this .. it worked. All you have to do is to disable UAC and then set up a rule on your firewall program for the DSC software for inbound and outbound traffic. Open DSC and it will activate. Reboot your system adn turn on UAC.

Ok, here is what we gotta do :
First , Clear the Firefox cache. This would help you to find files easily.

Click on Clear Private data Now making sure that you put a check next to cache.
Navigate to your favorite website that contains the flash animation / video. Let it load fully. Specially if you are on youtube make sure that the movie loads fully. Once that is done type the following (without quotes) “about:cache”
in the address bar of Firefox to get the following page.

Select your file , do not try to save anything from here. Wait … the fun has just started…. Simply Click on the desired file to get the following screen

Now , right click on teh desired file and click on Save Link As. Do not put any file extension , just save it as teh desired extension would be picked up automatically after the file is saved. You are done!!!
Please put some comments if this has helped you..

Until today i never sensed as what is the recession wave is all about. The top management has decided to raise the sales taregt for the team and that has put a thorny bushy plant under our buttocks. I still can nto figure out as how the revenue targets woudl be met if you are :
1.) Not provising healthy goals
2.) Forcing techs to become salesmen
3.) Making skilled techs to lose will
4.) Pressing hard against the wall without proper infrastructure , backend support , support from Engineers on site, escalation etc
Earlier we used to pitch once for the support charges , but today we sound more like a typical “Baniya” ( pot bellied shopkeeper) sitting on footpaths looking to fool people with obsolete stuff. We are now pressing customers to pay us. Just go through this typical conversation :
Tech: ” OK , Sir the support charge for the same would be 57 pounds, is it ok with you ? “
Customer: ” No , thats too high”
Tech: ” OK , OK , lemme take a look and speak to my manager”
[tech puts guy on hold , does nothing , comes back after 2 minutes]
Tech: “Sir, you there?”
Customer: Ahem [mumbles something]
Tech: ” Sir , Great news , we can support you at just 38 pounds”
Customer: “NO!! , thats too high as well”
Tech: “OK, OK relax , lemme discuss the case one more time with my team manager”
[Now the game begins, your helpful mentor come in picture and grabs the microphone]
Mentor: ” Hello Sir , this is XYZ , i am the floor supervisor , i understand your concern , what we would do is make it on 19 pounds”
Customer: [with a half hearted approach] “Erm… can’t you make it on 10 !!!!!” …………………………….
I guess my days are getting numbered over here… Things are not looking good , I know its my problem , i am over sensitive , I don’t know as how other folks keep the cool with the changing times … however it is a matter of fact that i am getting gratefully pissed off with the entire hoopla….

Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
It’s better my darling, I promise you this
The next time I hold you, I’m not letting go
Will you wait for me darling, I need to know
Though we won’t be together again ’til the spring
Just imagine the treasures I’ll bring
Come lay with me, stay with me, soon I’ll be gone
I will remember you all winter long
And when I return to the one that I miss
Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
The sweeter the kiss
When the mornings are warm and the valleys are green
I’ll come back from wherever I’ve been
Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
It’s better my darling, I promise you this
the next time I hold you, I’m not letting go
I will give up the ocean forever, I know
Forever I know
Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
It’s better my darling, I promise you this
the next time I hold you, I’m not letting go
I will give up the ocean forever, I know
Forever, I know

Create a DialBB Connection in Windows XP (Vista is Probably Similar)
1.) Open Network Connections. Click on Create a New Connection.

2.)Click Next

3.) Select Connect to the Internet. Click Next

4.) Select Set up my connection manually. Click Next.

5.) Select Connect Using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password. Click Next

6.) Type DialBB as ISP Name (Although wouldn’t it be more sensible to choose AOL Broadband?). Click Next.

7.) Enter your Username as your home phone number followed by @dialbb.com. Enter aol123 as your password.
Tick the two boxes and click Next.

8.) The Wizard is now complete. Click Finish. (You should now be able to connect to AOL)
